Camera Warehouse is a leading photographic retailer in Sydney, Australia, with both an established online store (Magento) and a physical shopfront. We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Magento Virtual Assistant to help us improve our online catalog, product presentation, and merchandising for increased sales. This is a long-term ongoing role for the right candidate, starting with a few hours per week and potentially growing. 🔧 Key Responsibilities: Product & Category Management: Create, update, and manage products in Magento (including simple, configurable, and bundled products). Build and optimise product categories, ensuring a logical structure and easy navigation. Upload images, specs, pricing, and ensure accuracy across listings. Bundles & Value Packs: Create accessory bundles and “kit” products (camera + lens + accessories). Set up upsell and cross-sell rules (“Frequently Bought Together”). Product Merchandising: Arrange homepage and category merchandising to highlight bestsellers, new arrivals, and clearance items. Add urgency messaging (e.g., “Only 2 left in stock”). Ensure product descriptions and layouts are consistent and professional. Clearance & Promotions: Build and maintain a “Clearance” section on the site. Assist with promotional product setups and discounts. Catalog Hygiene: Keep the product catalog clean and up to date. Fix broken links, duplicate SKUs, and inconsistent data. Optional / Nice-to-Have Skills: Knowledge of SEO for ecommerce (optimising titles, descriptions, metadata). Experience with product feeds for marketplaces (Google Shopping, etc.). Familiarity with inventory syncing tools or ERP integration. 🎯 Requirements: Proven experience with Magento 2 backend (essential). Strong product catalog management skills. Experience creating bundles, configurable products, and setting up upsells/cross-sells. Attention to detail — accuracy in product data is critical. Strong written English for product descriptions and naming consistency. Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and suggest improvements. 💻 Tools & Environment: Magento 2 (Community Edition, hosted on Nexcess). Collaboration via email/Slack. Product data supplied via spreadsheets or vendor catalogues.
