We’re in the final stages of building a new Magento 2 site and need an experienced backend developer to help complete the Australia-specific view/localisation before launch. Scope of Work: Configure Australia store view in Magento (currency, tax, store policies). Set up AUD & GST rules to ensure compliance. Localise shipping methods with Australian carriers Coordinating with the UK agency that built the site Configure payment gateways (Stripe, PayPal, Afterpay, etc.). Install & test integrations: Xero (accounting), CartonCloud (warehouse/fulfilment). Ensure product/catalogue data displays correctly in the AU view. Implement SEO elements for AU view (metadata, redirects from old domain, canonical URLs, Google Merchant Centre feed). QA and troubleshoot checkout flow, refunds, invoices, and GST handling. Requirements: Strong Magento 2 backend experience, especially with multi-store or multi-view setups. Proven work with e-commerce localisation projects. Knowledge of payment gateways, and shipping systems. Experience integrating Xero and WMS/ERP platforms is highly valued. Ability to communicate clearly and deliver within deadlines. Timeline: The site is already built, we need the AU view finalised and tested for launch in late October 2025. Ongoing support needed on an adhoc basis for a suitable candidate
