Ashburn Consulting is teaming up with The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) to advance its digital modernization initiatives and providing robust IT services to support its internal workforce.
This technician will offer onsite, email, and chat support for MacOS and iOS devices, providing troubleshooting, system configuration, and end-user support for both Mac and Windows systems. The Mac Support Technician role includes computer repair, virus removal, and other cleanup services, troubleshooting issues, configuring, and installing software with Apple computer and IOS devices. This role involves answering calls, responding to
requests/inquiries and collaborating with various teams.
Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite, email, and chat support for end user MAC and Windows systems and applications.
- Proficient in configuring and imaging, supporting, and troubleshooting Apple MacOS, Apple IOS, Microsoft Windows operating systems and fielding related how-to questions.
- Must have the ability to troubleshoot requests remotely, either over the phone, via email, or using
- Remote Technologies.
- Provide support for Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneDrive for Mac and Windows (Office 365).
- 3+ years of MAC experience (MAC OS X version 10.10 to current and IOS 11.x.x to current). Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in troubleshooting end-user hardware and peripherals, Operating systems, software applications, and network connectivity. Demonstrated Mac proficiency and JAMF experience.
- Candidate must have broad knowledge technology hardware, software, concepts, and service, to effectively provide guidance to users of various skill levels and developed documentation.
- Thorough knowledge of peripherals (printers, monitors), hardware/software, specifically in an enterprise environment. Candidate must have knowledge of the iPhone model thirteen or higher.
