Design Brief: AEPMA Logo Redesign (3 concept ideas needed) Background The Australian Environmental Pest Managers Association (AEPMA) represents professional pest managers across Australia. Our vision is to set and uphold the industry standard in harmony with community attitudes and environmental responsibility. The current logo no longer reflects the evolving identity and ambitions of AEPMA as a forward-looking, professional, and environmentally conscious organisation. Objective To redesign the AEPMA logo to present a modern, professional, and trustworthy identity while emphasising our role in environmental responsibility and sustainable pest management. Target Audience • Current AEPMA members • Professional pest managers and businesses within Australia. • Consumers seeking reliable pest control. • Government, regulatory bodies, and industry partners. • International partners within the FAOPMA network. Design Goals • Modernity: A fresh and contemporary design that feels relevant today and enduring for the future. • Professionalism: Instil trust and authority, representing an industry association of high standards. • Environmental Emphasis: Strong connection to sustainability, safety, and environmental responsibility. • Clarity: The name “AEPMA” must remain clear and legible in all formats. (Australian Environmental Pest Managers Association) • Versatility: Scalable and functional across digital platforms, print, signage, uniforms, and merchandise. • Some designs to be directly influenced by our current logo. Mandatory Elements • The word “Environmental” must be clearly included. • Full association name: Australian Environmental Pest Managers Association. • Acronym AEPMA (can be dominant, with full name secondary). Style Preferences • Colours: Fresh and natural tones (e.g., greens, earthy browns, clean blues). Avoid overly aggressive palettes. • Typography: Clean, modern, fonts preferred; professional but approachable. • Imagery: Abstract or stylised elements rather than literal pests. • Tone: Balance between authority and environmental responsibility. Deliverables • Primary logo (colour). • Secondary/alternative versions (monochrome, reversed, simplified). • Horizontal and stacked variations. • Brand guidelines (colours, fonts, usage rules). Timeline • Initial concepts: 2–3 weeks after briefing. • Feedback and revisions: 1–2 weeks. • Final delivery: within 6–8 weeks of project commencement. The Current Logo is attached.
