• Job Description
• Roster: Monday to Friday (Residential role – Geraldton-based candidates or those willing to relocate only)
• Hourly Rate: $52 per hour + Superannuation
• Employment Type: Permanent
• Location: Geraldton
• We're seeking a skilled Loader Operator Trainer who is genuinely passionate about sharing their knowledge and helping operators build confidence, capability, and safe operating habits. • Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Training Delivery & Program Development
• Deliver structured and engaging training programs for both new and experienced Loader Operators
• Provide patient, hands-on coaching that supports operators with varying learning styles and experience
• Lead practical assessments, simulations, and safety-focused training activities
• Support onboarding, probation reviews, and annual competency assessments
• Performance Monitoring & Skills Development
• Review load data, compliance reports, and supervisor feedback to identify areas for development
• Maintain an up-to-date register of operator competencies, refresher needs, and progression pathways
• Develop targeted coaching plans that build confidence, correct unsafe habits, and lift overall team performance
• Work closely with individuals who may need extra time, support, or encouragement
• Compliance & Record Keeping
• Accurately document all training sessions, assessments, and competency sign-offs
• Keep training records up to date in Litmos and other relevant systems
• Ensure all training aligns with WHS regulations, Chain of Responsibility, and operational standards
• This position is open to residential candidates only. Applicants must live in or near Geraldton or be willing to relocate at their own expense if successful.
• Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years’ experience operating loaders in mining or bulk logistics environments
• Proven experience training, mentoring, or assessing loader operators
• Confident in delivering inductions, toolbox talks, and practical training sessions
• Strong knowledge of load distribution, weight compliance, and safety protocols
• Proficient in maintaining training records using digital systems such as Litmos or SharePoint
• Competent with Microsoft Office Suite for documentation, reporting, and tracking progress
• Ability to design, manage, and deliver structured training programs
• Capable of leading and supporting peer trainers across multiple sites
• Excellent communication, organisation, and follow-up skills
• Applicants must hold a current National Police Clearance or be willing to obtain one prior to commencement.
