The Opportunity
Due to ongoing team growth, we are seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join the firm’s specialised Insurance & Health Practice. You will be supporting a team of solicitors at various levels who handle a broad range of complex defendant insurance matters.
You will be empowered by principals committed to your support and growth, working as part of a highly skilled and welcoming administrative team.
Key duties will include:
...File Management: Opening and archiving files, and maintaining accurate electronic files using the firm’s practice management systems.
Financial Administration: Handling monthly billing, debtor control, and associated reporting.
Document Preparation: Preparing and sending correspondence, and arranging for the filing of court documents.
Briefing: Coordinating brief preparation to counsel, medical experts, and other third parties.
Administration: Managing diaries, scheduling appointments, organising travel, and providing general administrative support while adhering to client service standards.
What You'll Need to Succeed
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, proactive, and ready to take ownership of their role:
Experience is Essential: You must have previous experience as a Legal Assistant
Technical Skills: Proven experience using legal practice management systems, billing platforms, precedents, and document management systems.
Proactive Approach: A strong work ethic with a proactive mindset, demonstrating initiative and ownership of tasks.
Communication & Service: Excellent communication skills and a solid understanding of the importance of client service standards and building collaborative working relationships.
