As the Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Optimisation Theory you will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to teaching and learning design, delivery, and evaluation while continuing to build your research contribution, expertise and impact. Your key responsibilities will be to: contribute to the development, implementation, and promotion of innovative mathematical education programs within the School of Mathematics and Statistics, conduct high-quality research in optimisation theory and related areas teach graduate and undergraduate courses in mathematics for students from different disciplinary backgrounds supervise and coordinate graduate and undergraduate students attract external funding and connect with partners. As such, we see the importance of recruiting talent aligned to these values and are looking for a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Optimisation Theory who has: a PhD or equivalent doctorate in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related field a strong publication record in Optimisation Theory evidence of independent research, compatible with the standards at The University of Sydney evidence of ability, versatility, and commitment to excellence in teaching a developing knowledge of the key strategic issues in mathematics and the higher education sector additional requirement for Senior Lecturer position is experience of supervising students.
