Randstad Canberra is looking for labourers!

Key Responsibilities:

• Site Preparation and Cleanup: Clear debris, sweep, remove waste materials, and organize tools and supplies to maintain a safe and tidy worksite.

• Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials (e.g., lumber, concrete bags, drywall, tools) to and from work areas.

• Assisting Tradespeople: Provide support to skilled workers (carpenters, electricians, plumbers, etc.) as directed, including holding materials, fetching tools, and preparing areas.

• Basic Tool Operation: Operate small power tools (e.g., drills, saws, compactors) and hand tools (e.g., shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows) safely and effectively.

• Erecting and Dismantling: Assist with the erection and dismantling of temporary structures, such as scaffolding, barricades, and site hoardings.

• Digging and Trenching: Manually dig trenches, grade earth, and prepare surfaces as required.

• Safety Adherence: Strictly follow all company safety policies and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.

• Other duties as assigned by the Site Supervisor or Foreman.
