Location: Hobart
Contract length: 1+ months
Hourly rate: $45 per hour + super
15 hours per week - Wednesday to Friday 9am - 2pm

About the Role

• Coordinate daily kitchen operations and food service for the community program.

• Supervise and roster volunteer kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive team environment.

• Plan menus collaboratively with volunteers and manage food orders efficiently.

• Maintain kitchen stock and equipment, ensuring everything is accounted for and in good working order.

• Ensure strict food safety and WHS compliance is maintained at all times.

• Support catering for events and programs as required.

Essential Competencies & Certifications

To be considered for this role, you must hold and provide evidence of the following:

• An appropriate Certificate level qualification

• Practical experience in kitchen management, OR an appropriate Certificate level qualification and practical experience in the community sector.

• Experience working with and supporting older people in a community setting.

• Skilled in coordinating volunteers and managing all aspects of kitchen operations.

• Strong communication, teamwork, and basic admin/computer skills.

• Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People

• Valid Driver Licence.
