About
Project Brief: Kids Toothbrush Mould Design (Ages 3–6) Overview We are developing a custom children’s toothbrush for ages 3–6 years and require a professional mould design file that can be used for manufacturing. The toothbrush must be safe, ergonomic, and fun, with dimensions specifically tailored for small hands and mouths. Importantly, the Tooth Pixie figure will be incorporated into the toothbrush handle design as a signature brand element. Deliverables * Final 3D mould design file (CAD format preferred: STEP/IGS/STL) ready for injection moulding. * Scaled 2D technical drawings with dimensions and annotations. * Exploded view or cross-section (if required) to show assembly of handle and bristles. Design Requirements * Handle: * Length: 95–110 mm (suited to children’s hands). * Diameter: 10–14 mm grip (ergonomic for small fingers). * Incorporate the Tooth Pixie figure into the design — this could be in the form of a raised/embossed character along the handle, a 3D sculpted Pixie integrated into the top or base, or a stylised silhouette/wing pattern. * Rounded ends and smooth contours for safety. * Handle should still allow for comfortable grip and usability despite the decorative Pixie feature. * Bristle Head: * Head length: 18–22 mm. * Head width: 7–9 mm. * Neck length: 20–25 mm (slim enough for child’s mouth). * Rounded edges, no sharp corners. * Bristle Holes: * Standard tuft layout for soft nylon bristles (approx. 20–25 tufts). * Diameter per tuft hole: 1.5–2.0 mm. * Material considerations: * Handle: food-safe PP or similar child-safe plastic. * Option for soft grip accents (TPR or silicone insert). Safety & Standards * Must comply with child oral care safety standards (BPA-free, non-toxic). * Rounded edges and no detachable small parts. * Mould file should account for shrinkage tolerances in injection moulding. Reference Style We will provide the Tooth Pixie character artwork as reference to guide the integration of the figure into the handle. The final design should feel magical, playful, and on-brand while still being practical for everyday brushing.
