Rochford Wines is a family-owned winery and hospitality business featuring two acclaimed restaurants, cellar door, and events spaces. Isabella’s Restaurant offers seasonal, locally sourced menus with a modern edge, while Il Vigneto delivers casual, authentic Italian fare with a focus on woodfired pizza.

We’re looking for a talented, passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Rochford Wines in the heart of the Yarra Valley.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations
* Lead the team during service in their absence
* Maintain high culinary standards across prep and service
* Ensure food safety and hygiene compliance
* Assist with menu development and seasonal specials
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff
* Work collaboratively between both venues when required

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
* Qualified Chef Cert III Commercial Cookery minimum
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong experience as a Chef de Partie ready to step up
* Strong organisational and leadership skills
* A passion for seasonal produce and quality presentation
* Ability to work well under pressure in a busy kitchen
* Availability to work weekends, public holidays and Saturday evening shifts
* Flexibility to work across both Isabella’s and Il Vigneto when required
