TMS is seeking a Jira expert to lead the design, configuration, and implementation of Jira across multiple client environments. This role focuses on structuring Jira to support service delivery, project management, and automation—ensuring clean configuration, intuitive workflows, and scalable governance. Responsibilities: * Analyse business processes and translate them into Jira workflows, issue types, and custom fields * Design and implement new Jira projects (Service Management, Software, Business) * Configure forms, SLAs, request types, screens, and notifications * Set up custom automation rules, approvals, and triggers * Integrate Jira with Slack, Google Workspace, n8n and other client systems * Implement permission schemes and project roles for clean governance * Document system configuration, workflows, and admin procedures * Train client teams on using and maintaining Jira * Support QA and post-implementation adjustments as needed Required Skills: * Deep expertise in Jira Software and Jira Service Management (Cloud) * Experience designing end-to-end workflows, automations, and custom field schemes * Knowledge of Jira administration best practices and governance models * Strong understanding of permissions, roles, and project configuration * Experience with Google Docs, Slack, Jira, Confluence and Draw.io collaboration tools * Excellent written and spoken English Desirable Experience: * Integration using tools like n8n, Zapier, Make, or REST APIs * Experience with Xray (test management), Tempo (time tracking), and Insight/Assets * Background in IT service delivery, consulting, or agile project management * Atlassian certification (ACP-120 or ACP-610) * Business Analysis and process documentation Engagement: * Available Sydney Australia business hours * Remote work using GoogleMeet, Slack, Jira * Variable hours per week depending on project needs * Long-term relationship preferred To Apply: Please include: * Examples of Jira configurations and workflows you’ve personally delivered * Specific experience with Jira, automations, and integrations * A brief outline of your approach to designing scalable, maintainable Jira environments * an estimate for the following MVP I need to implement for a client this week in the link here https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1LYhW3UB0Vuu6q_TaE1gbrJQqi7vJtDGAU_Q8NRskZm4/edit?usp=sharing * An approach to doing the Quote integration as per linked document
