We’re now looking for a passionate, safety-focused Jet Ski Tour Guide to lead our team and daily operations at Horseshoe Bay.

Job Description
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing the daily operations of guided jet ski tours and hire services. The successful candidate will:
Lead and supervise guided jet ski tours, ensuring a safe, professional, and engaging experience for all guests.
Manage staff and support team development, fostering a positive, safety-first workplace culture.
Conduct safety briefings and training for customers prior to tours and hires.
Maintain, prepare, and pack down jet ski equipment each day.
Uphold operational standards, ensure compliance with maritime safety regulations, and respond effectively to incidents.
Share knowledge of the local marine environment, wildlife, and history to educate and engage guests.

Working Hours
Full-time, permanent position (38+ hours per week).
Hours may vary seasonally based on tourism demand, and a flexible work arrangement will be required.
Weekend work is essential.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise guided jet ski tours around Magnetic Island.
Manage jet ski hire operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
Conduct safety briefings and provide hands-on training for customers prior to all tours and hires.
Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, operational guidelines, and maritime regulations.
Oversee risk assessments, incident response planning, and staff safety training.
Share knowledge of the local marine environment, wildlife, and history to educate and engage guests.
Supervise and assist with daily setup, maintenance, and pack-down of jet ski equipment.
Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries, feedback, and concerns promptly.
Lead and motivate a small team, fostering a positive, safety-first workplace culture.

Requirements
Previous experience as a tour guide, ideally within marine tourism or adventure activities.
Strong knowledge of water safety practices and relevant regulatory standards.
Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
Physically capable of handling heavy jet ski equipment and working outdoors in all conditions.
English as a first language, with excellent spoken and written communication skills.
Current First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Boat and PWC licence.
Manual driver’s licence with proven experience driving and reversing trailers.
