LOCATION: In-person, near Altona Meadows, Melbourne
DATE: 19 January to 11 December 2025
REMUNERATION: $74,000 per annum pro-rata + 12% superannuation (paid at $52/hour) with a view of possible renewal for one year. Working holiday visa holders are welcome to apply too.

ROLE: Japanese speakers with language teaching experience are invited to develop and deliver a Japanese language course for adult learners. You will work full-time, Monday to Friday, 0800–1630 with a one-hour meal break.

DUTIES:
-Deliver a Japanese language course based on existing materials
-Adapt lesson plans, conduct assessments and other administrative duties
- Review and enhance existing course materials
- Develop modules covering various language skills
- Transition content to an online platform
- Create engaging online activities to consolidate learning
- All materials will be written in English

Essential Criteria
- Fluent in Japanese
- University-educated, ideally in education or teaching
- Minimum 3 years’ experience teaching/tutoring English or Japanese to adults
- Proven experience in language delivery and course development
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Excellent knowledge of the society, history, culture and politics of Japan
- Detail-oriented, confident, friendly, and deadline-driven
