Lazzara Grapes is a significant table grape grower with sites in VIC and QLD. The business supplies produce to the national supermarkets as well as for export. J&F Lazzara & Sons Pty Ltd is seeking a full time qualified Irrigationist Assistant.
The salary offered is $76,515 per annum plus superannuation.
Providing support to the Irrigationist, the Irrigationist Assistant will be responsible for the following:

• Determine hydraulic parameters for an irrigation system
• Implement and irrigation-related program
• Schedule irrigations
• Select and manage pumping systems for irrigation
• Interpret and apply irrigation designs
• Supervise irrigation system installations
• Supervise irrigation maintenance

The applicants will have the following skills and experience:

• AQF Certificate II in the horticulture, viticulture or in a related field with 1 year of experience (working 20 hours per week)
• Practical experience as a farm worker within in Agriculture/Horticulture or Forestry industry
• Ability to operate wide range of farm and plant machinery including tractors and pump
• Knowledge and experience of agricultural production principles
• Excellent communication skills Driver’s licence
• Suitable agricultural or horticultural qualifications and/or experience
• Ability to work unsupervised or as a part of a team
