Cirillo Management Group Pty Ltd is a leading table grape grower with operations in Robinvale (VIC), Mildura (VIC) and Paringi (NSW), Australia. The business is seeking a full-time qualified Section Supervisor.
The salary offered is $76,515 per annum plus superannuation.
Job duties and responsibilities include:
• Ensuring that growing and harvesting treatments are carried out as per established procedures and operators are properly trained
• Liaising with Agronomists, Agricultural Technicians and Farm Operation Managers regarding crop growing treatments and suggesting improvements where required
• Coordinating with the maintenance division for the upkeep of vines and equipment
• Ensuring all viticulture treatments are completed according to standard procedures
• Planning for pre-plant activities, fertiliser application, broadcasting of fertiliser and chemical spraying
• Assessing weather conditions to ensure suitability for field operations and best efficacy
• Liaising with Agronomists regarding scheduling of all irrigation requirements
• Monitoring vine-growing operations to ensure quality standards are met
• Managing stock of fertilisers and chemicals
The applicants will have the following skills and experience:
• AQF Certificate IV in horticulture, viticulture or a related field
• At least 1 year of relevant experience (20 hours or more per week)
• Previous experience as a Horticulture Manager or Farm Supervisor within agriculture, horticulture or forestry
• Strong computing and administration skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge and practical experience of agricultural production principles
• Proven ability to supervise staff, contractors and seasonal workers
• Experience in the operation and use of farm machinery
• Current driver’s licence
