West Hills Farm Pty Ltd operates the largest carrot operation in Western Australia encompassing growing, harvesting, packing and distribution to both domestic and export markets.?

We are looking for up to 2 Irrigation Assistants to work as part of team on our 4000 acre carrot operation 15 minutes North East of Lancelin.? The successful candidates will be required to perform the following task:?

- Schedule irrigation plans based on irrigation needs of crops
- Implement and supervise irrigation-related programs
- Ensure irrigation equipment is operating and managed efficiently
- Ensure irrigation equipment is being properly maintained and report any issues to relevant managers
- Liaise with Agronomist/Agricultural Technician/Vegetable Grower on irrigation plans and implementation of said plans
- Perform relevant tasks in accordance with company operating procedures as directed
- Liaise/plan with maintenance division/contractors where needed of any maintenance needs
- Ensure all records/logbooks are kept up to date
- Ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
- Ensure that all crop requirements are met

?The successful applicant must:?

- Minimum of 1 years’ relevant experience
- Have relevant qualifications
- Be able to work unsupervised;
- Be highly organised;
- Be motivated;
- Be able to work as part of a team;
- Be willing to live in/around the area of Lancelin.

This is a full time position (42 hours plus) with an expected remuneration in the range of $30.00 - $34.00 per hour depending on previous experience and qualifications.
