Fruitico is a dynamic and fast growing business with farms across Australia. We have three table grape farms in Western Australia, located in Hamel, Meelon and Broome. We are looking for horticulture and farm workers to join us for our upcoming pre-harvest and harvest seasons.

About the role

Irrigationist Assistant

We are looking for Irrigationist Assistants to join our farming team.

The key responsibilities are:
Determining hydraulic parameters for irrigation systems
Implementing irrigation-related programs
Scheduling irrigations
Selecting and managing pumping systems for irrigation
Interpreting and applying irrigation designs
Supervising and conducting irrigation system installations
Supervising and conducting irrigation maintenance
Salary range: $76,000 to $90,000

About you

We're looking for candidates who share our values and passion to contribute to the success of our berry farming operations.

- To be successful you will have the following skills and experience:
- Prior experience managing, leading or supervising on a horticulture farm, including experience in overseeing labour, growing, irrigation, and working to financial outcomes.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate and develop a team.
- A strong drive to achieve and a passion for farming.
- A background in agronomy, irrigation, or berries will be highly regarded.
- Prior experience operating a tractor and other farm machinery will be highly regarded.
- Comprehensive knowledge of horticulture practices.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to problem solve.
- Physical fitness and ability to work in varying weather conditions.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work both in teams and independently.
