Job Description Summary Job Description About the Internship GE Vernova’s internship program offers an exceptional opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to real-world challenges in the energy sector. As part of GE Vernova’s Power Services business—which supports technology that generates nearly one-third of the world’s electricity—you will contribute to initiatives that are helping transform the energy landscape toward a more sustainable, affordable, and reliable future. This internship provides practical, immersive experience in gas turbine technologies, outage planning, long-term service agreement (LTSA) execution, and overall service operations. You will collaborate with experienced engineers and commercial teams, gaining insight into the daily operations that keep power plants running safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Service Operations & Outage Planning Develop a strong understanding of the end-to-end scope of work within Service Operations, including outage planning and execution processes. Gain technical knowledge of gas power plants, gas turbine architecture, and major engine components. Parts & Material Support Assist in validating part order numbers and understanding key processes such as OSIP ordering, advance releases, and part tracking (“part chasing”). Monitor and report part status updates; provide transactional and administrative support to ensure timely execution. Customer Support & Execution Support Customer Portfolio Managers (CPMs) with daily operational tasks, customer communications, and service delivery needs. Participate in on-site outage activities (as applicable) to observe and learn about turbine maintenance, inspection planning, and field execution. Commercial & Contract Support Assist with reviewing customer contract documentations to deepen understanding of commercial obligations, scope, and deliverables. Engagement & Culture Initiatives Contribute to GE Vernova’s Engagement Committee by supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of team-building activities, cultural events, and employee engagement initiatives. Skills and Qualifications Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or related disciplines preferred). Ability to work on-site flexible days per week throughout the internship period. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated commitment to inclusivity, creativity, problem-solving, and driving positive change. Eagerness to learn in a fast-paced industrial environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
