About the Position
The Interior Designer role at Paramount Developments is a pivotal opportunity to craft inspiring and functional interior spaces that align with the company’s commitment to quality and innovation. Based at our Condell Park headquarters, you will collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and construction teams to develop and execute design concepts that enhance aesthetic and practical outcomes across diverse projects. Key Responsibilities
Consult with clients and stakeholders to determine design objectives, constraints, and project requirements.
Research and analyse spatial, functional, efficiency, safety, and aesthetic needs for interior projects.
Develop and present design concepts through sketches, diagrams, illustrations, and detailed plans.
Negotiate design solutions with clients, management, suppliers, and construction teams to ensure alignment.
Select, specify, and recommend materials, furniture, and products that meet functional and aesthetic goals.
Prepare detailed documentation and specifications for construction teams to execute selected designs.
Supervise and monitor the construction of interiors to ensure adherence to design plans and quality standards.
Requirements
Australian citizens and permanent residents are strongly encouraged to apply.
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field.
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in interior design.
Technical skills: Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite), knowledge of building codes and regulations, and expertise in material and furniture specification.
Interpersonal skills: Strong communication and negotiation abilities, client-focused mindset, collaborative teamwork, and creative problem-solving.
