About the Role
Indigenous Job Match (IJM) is proud to support Strong Women Talking in recruiting for a culturally grounded Intake & Assessment Officer.
This is more than an admin role — this is a culturally sacred entry point for women seeking healing and safety.
As Intake & Assessment Officer, you’ll:
- Gently guide women through SWT’s intake and eligibility process
- Provide trauma-informed assessments and brief solution-focused support
- Link women to services and refer when needed-
- Maintain accurate records and data entry in the client management system
- Support healing-based group programs and assist with welcome packs
- Represent SWT’s values of respect, cultural safety, and sisterhood in every interaction
This Role Is For You If You:
- Are an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander woman
- Have experience or understanding of family and domestic violence
- Are grounded in community and can sit in safety with women experiencing trauma
- Can hold professional boundaries while being culturally responsive
- Are confident with phone-based support, intake systems, and note-taking
- Understand the importance of women’s business and culturally safe support systems
Mandatory Requirements
- Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
- Identify as Female, as this is a women’s business role
- Hold or be willing to obtain a Blue Card and National Police Check

This is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women-only position, permitted under:
- Section 8(1) of the Racial Discrimination Act 1975 (Cth)
- Sections 25, 104, and 105 of the Queensland Anti-Discrimination Act 1991
