• Job Description
• Reporting to the North WA Operations Manager, the Inland Operations Supervisor is located across 3 Inland Fuel Hubs on a 8on/6off roster flying in and out of Perth.
• The 3 Inland Fuel Hubs at Brockman, West Angelas and Paraburdoo are owned and maintained by Rio Tinto but operated by VEA. The fuel hubs are supplied via Fuel Rail Tank Cars. Toll Mining Services are currently the Hired Carrier contracted to deliver Diesel fuel on behalf of VIVA in the area from Road Gantry’s at each of the 3 location.
• The role is required to maintain and manage a robust assurance program with VEA’s operating partners and other key stakeholders. Significant stakeholder engagements are also required with Rio Tinto Site Personnel, Rio Tinto Rail Operations and VEA Account Managers.
• Responsible for performing/managing day to day operational activities including rail tank car unloading while supporting the operations team in the safe operation of the fuel hubs and to ensure efficient, reliable movement of hydrocarbons. In this role you will be providing leadership of health, safety, security and environment. The role will require a site presence across the 3 location as required to support operational needs.
• Responsibilities
• Bi-Monthly Facility Operations meetings with Rio Tinto, Toll and Viva Senior Management, weekly online meeting with VEA stakeholders plus daily involvement in Rio Tinto and Viva/Toll pre-start meetings.
• Operate and monitor process equipment including Road Loading Gantry, Rail Unloading Gantry, Storage Tanks, air compressors and associated equipment.
• Perform routine inspection of equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Complete daily administrative tasks
• Complete Stock management tasks
• Respond to upsets/ breakdowns, troubleshoot equipment issues, and implement corrective actions
• Follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices
• Communicate effectively with team members and Parker Point Operations Team to ensure smooth operations and timely problem resolution
• Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and emergency response drills
