• Employee & RTW Support: Actively support injured workers and collaborate with supervisors to develop and implement effective Return to Work (RTW) plans.

• Case Management: Provide expert advice and manage claims related to Workers’ Compensation, Income Protection, and non-work-related illnesses/injuries.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with insurers, external rehabilitation providers, and treating health practitioners to facilitate RTW outcomes.

• On-Site Presence: Conduct occasional site travel within Perth to understand risks and ergonomics, which is vital for managing cases in an operational setting (personal vehicle not required for site visits).

• Administration: Maintain accurate claims files and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and policies.

The Ideal Profile

This role requires a unique blend of technical knowledge and strong interpersonal skills:

• Relationship Focused: Must be a natural relationship builder who can effectively engage with a diverse workforce, including both blue-collar and white-collar staff.

• Communication Style: Preference for face-to-face or Teams video interactions over simple phone calls to enhance understanding and support for the injured worker.

• Demeanor: Must be assertive yet empathetic, possessing the emotional intelligence necessary to have difficult yet supportive conversations and act as a bridge across stakeholders.

Qualifications & Assignment Details

• Qualifications: A qualification in a medical, health, or related area is desired, with sound knowledge of the medical and legal terminology associated with injury management.

• Location: Perth.

• Type: Contract role.

• Schedule: 3 days per week (ideally Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday).
