Working within our Dynalite business, in a newly created role as Industrial Engineering Lead, based at our brand new office & manufacturing/warehouse facility in Moorebank, you will shape how innovative new products are brought to life in a cutting-edge digital manufacturing environment, ensuring quality, efficiency, and impact from day one. Responsible for planning and execution of activities on industrial side of new product introduction (NPDL, ETO) and life cycle management of ongoing production (LCM) so that approved products are manufactured on-schedule and within quality standards and cost objectives. Day-to-day liaison with Project and Product Management and R&D Teams as an Operations Team representative and stakeholder. Assume operations side Project Leader role, to ensure successful launches and execution at our Manufacturing sites (local and global) of New Product Introductions and Engineering & Pilot Manufacturing trials, towards full production release. Joint responsibility for detailed Design for Manufacture (DFX) and PFMEA evaluation and implementation for all new Products during concept, development, release and post-release phases. Set targets, monitor and manage manufacturing cost aspects (machine and process time, BOM) in liaison with Process & Production Engineering, Cost Controller and Operations Management. Contribute to Test strategy development and implementation jointly with Process and Production Engineering and R&D. Drive Continuous Improvement strategy following LEAN principles jointly with other stakeholders Jointly with Procurement and SC Team manage supply chain activities and BOM aspects of electronics and mechanical components for all trial and production runs. Create jointly with others required Manufacturing documentation, assembly and work instructions, BOM’s, etc. Manage the BOM aspects in MRP systems (EPICOR, SAP). More about you While we value and appreciate all applicants, we believe that the following experience and skills will be needed to shine brightly in this job opening: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering or an equivalent tertiary education. Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a relevant business or industrial environment. Proven background in Manufacturing Engineering with hands-on experience in production processes. Experience in Electronics Manufacturing (EMS or OEM) industry or related sectors and understanding of MRP systems, Production BOM structures and electronics PCBA assembly process would be an advantage. Familiarity with the latest trends in automated assembly techniques and robotized manufacturing lines would be an advantage. Familiarity with LEAN methodologies and tools, with a track record of applying continuous improvement practices would be an advantage.
