Child & Family Case Worker | Intensive Family Support Service | Underwood Employment Term: 12-month maximum term, Full-time (76 hours per fortnight) Location: Based in Underwood with outreach across Logan. Your part in our UnitingCare team The Intensive Family Support Service assists complex, vulnerable families who are at risk of entering the Child Protection system. We are a voluntary service who visits families in their homes approximately once a week for up to 12 months, enabling us to work together to keep children safe and achieve family goals. The Child and Family Case Worker will lead case management with families to identify and prioritise their concerns. In this role you will: Provide a mix of therapeutic and in-home practical care to support complex, vulnerable and often hard to reach families. Actively engage, assess and develop collaborative case plans to ensure we are prioritising the families' presenting concerns in turn preparing them to be referred to specialist support services. Have a genuine passion for helping people who are vulnerable with previous experience working with children and families who are at risk of or engaged under the child protection act.
