VeiraMal Consulting is seeking an experienced ICT Systems Test Engineer to join our clients' business in Melbourne. Our client is looking for an enthusiastic individual who can work well in a team, with strong communication skills.

Responsible for: The ICT Systems Test Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and managing technical quality assurance processes, testing frameworks, and systems infrastructure. The role involves investigating, analysing, and resolving system problems and performance issues to ensure the reliability, functionality, security, and integrity of ICT systems.

Key Duties:

Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance procedures, testing strategies, and technical standards for ICT systems
Schedule and conduct quality audit inspections, including analysis and review of systems, data, and technical documentation
Identify system variations, defects, and potential high-risk areas to ensure adherence to organisational and industry standards
Recommend corrective action plans and continuous improvement initiatives to address non-compliance identified through audits and monitoring
Communicate, educate, and liaise with users, technical teams, and management to promote awareness and compliance with quality, security, and operational standards
Assist in troubleshooting, diagnosing, testing, and resolving system faults, defects, and performance issues
Analyse, evaluate, and diagnose technical issues relating to installation, maintenance, upgrades, configuration, and repair of ICT systems
Test and validate system functionality, performance, and integrity in line with established testing protocols, guidelines, and quality standards
Identify and diagnose errors and faults in systems, including reviewing and testing program code to ensure systems meet specifications
Conduct organisational systems architecture reviews and assessments, recommending current and future hardware and software solutions
Develop and maintain technical documentation including procedural manuals, operational guides, technical reports, specifications, and system inventories
Provide technical guidance and training to users and staff in application software, system usage, and operational procedures
Performance Appraisal: Three months after the starting date, then half yearly or when required.

Qualification & Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic capability
· High attention to detail with a structured approach to testing and quality assurance
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders and technical teams
Remuneration: $75,000 - $85,000 + Super
