Kogan People Solutions, recruiters, are working with a leading sustainability and green building consultancy specialising in energy-efficient solutions and government rebate programs aimed at reducing utility costs and environmental impact. This well-established business operates in Victoria and New South Wales, providing a range of energy-efficient and water-saving products to both residential and commercial customers.

They are now seeking a qualified and experienced ICT Support Engineer to ensure the smooth operation of the IT systems and infrastructure.

About the role:

You will be responsible for providing engineering support solutions, maintaining and optimising IT infrastructure, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring system security and performance. This role plays a critical part in supporting business operations and maintaining a secure, efficient digital environment.

• Salary: Negotiable in the range of $100k to $110k plus superannuation per annum.

• Tenure: Full time and ongoing.

• Location: Ravenhall, VIC

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Analyse complex user and system requirements to design, test, and implement robust ICT support strategies and infrastructure solutions.

• Engineer and optimize the Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and cloud-based environments to ensure high availability, security compliance, and operational efficiency.

• Conduct detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on recurring technical faults to develop permanent resolutions and preventative maintenance schedules.

• Evaluate and improve ICT infrastructure performance through regular capacity planning, technical quality audits, and system health checks.

• Design and implement cybersecurity protocols, system backup strategies, and disaster recovery procedures in strict accordance with organisational policies and risk frameworks.

• Develop and maintain high-level technical documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and knowledge base articles to standardise support delivery.

• Provide technical expertise for escalated issues related to sustainability assessment platforms and consultancy software tools.

• Coordinate with external ICT vendors to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met and technical integrations are seamless.

• Analyze training needs and provide guidance to staff on system usage, cybersecurity best practices, and new technology adoption.

Qualifications skills and attributes we will look for as we review applications:

• Applicants will be expected to possess at least a highly relevant bachelor’s degree or agreed alternative.

• Applicants will be expected to demonstrate at least 1 or more years of relevant ICT support or systems engineering experience.

• Strong knowledge of Windows Server and desktop environments

• Experience administering Microsoft 365 and cloud-based systems

• Sound understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)

• Experience in proactive system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning

• Interested in technology whilst working in a busy environment.

• Strong stakeholder service orientation and communication skills

• Ability to analyse and evaluate complex technical issues

• High attention to detail and documentation accuracy

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
