Hotel Service Manager
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Hotel Service Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our hotel services. The role focuses on ensuring exceptional guest experience, smooth service delivery, staff supervision, compliance with safety standards, and maintaining efficient operational workflows across housekeeping, front-desk support, luggage handling, and guest services.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate daily hotel service operations, including housekeeping, luggage handling, concierge and door services, to ensure seamless delivery.
Determine work requirements and prepare duty rosters; allocate tasks to Housekeepers, Luggage Porters, Doorpersons and other service staff.
Monitor service standards and ensure all guest interactions reflect high levels of hospitality, professionalism and efficiency.
Maintain accurate attendance records, shift rosters, and performance logs for the service team.
Explain, implement and enforce workplace safety rules, hygiene standards and hotel policies.
Liaise with department managers to ensure smooth coordination between housekeeping, reception, maintenance and other units.
Address and resolve staff concerns, grievances and operational issues promptly and professionally.
Suggest improvements to operational processes to enhance guest satisfaction and service efficiency.
Inspect rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness, presentation and housekeeping standards are consistently met.
Respond to guest enquiries, manage complaints, and ensure issues are followed up and resolved quickly.
Train new staff members and support ongoing upskilling and performance development of the service team.
Support front-office and reception functions when required, ensuring continuity of service during peak hours or staff shortages.
Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum of two years’ experience in hotel service management or a similar supervisory role.
Diploma in Hotel or Motel Management (preferred but not mandatory).
Strong leadership and decision-making abilities with a proactive and results-driven approach.
Excellent customer-service mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Tech-savvy, adaptable to new systems, and highly detail-oriented in managing daily hotel operations.

Salary: AUD 80,000 + Super (or as applicable)
