The venue offers a warm, community-focused environment with comfortable motel rooms, spacious caravan sites, and essential traveller facilities that serve both long-term workers and passing visitors. The property is known for its welcoming atmosphere, reliable service, and commitment to providing guests with a clean, safe and restful stay in the heart of Queensland’s regional corridor. Our convenient location offers easy check-in and key pick-up at the Service Station from 4 am to 8.30 pm, seven days a week.
With 12 comfortable rooms, including family units and pet-friendly options, and a 5-acre caravan park boasting 16 powered sites, we ensure a restful stay. Enjoy our array of amenities, including Wi- Fi, laundry facilities, undercover parking, and on-site fuel, drinks, groceries, fast food, and a licensed restaurant.

Role Overview

The Hotel/Motel Manager will oversee the full operations of the motel and caravan park, ensuring all guest services, bookings, facilities, housekeeping, maintenance and administrative functions run smoothly. This role is central to delivering an exceptional guest experience, maintaining operational efficiency, and supporting the strong reputation of Nebo Motor Inn and Caravan Park.
The scope of duties required the nominee to show leadership across accommodation services, guest relations, property upkeep, financial procedures and operational supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all daily accommodation operations for both the motel and caravan park, coordinating reservations, check-ins, check-outs, guest communication and personalised support for travellers, work crews and long-stay guests who frequent the Nebo region.
• Oversee housekeeping workflows to ensure rooms, cabins and park amenities are reset to a high standard each day, maintaining strict controls over linen, cleaning supplies, amenities and presentation across all accommodation types.
• Coordinate and supervise maintenance across the property, ensuring cabins, motel rooms, communal areas, parking zones, caravan sites, outdoor facilities and utilities remain clean, safe and fully operational within a regional hospitality environment.
• Lead and support staff where required through effective rostering, task delegation, hands-on assistance during busy periods, continuous training and a positive, team-focused work culture that reflects the hospitality values of Nebo Motor Inn and Caravan Park.
• Manage financial and administrative duties including recording daily takings, reconciling bookings, monitoring occupancy patterns, ordering consumables, managing supplier relationships and maintaining operational budgets suited to a regional accommodation business.

• Ensure full compliance with accommodation regulations, workplace health and safety requirements, fire safety protocols and property-care standards relevant to both motel and caravan- park operations.
• Monitor guest satisfaction through active engagement, addressing concerns promptly, and implementing service improvements that enhance comfort for drive-through travellers, contractors, and families staying at the park.
• Provide guests with helpful local knowledge including dining options, fuel stations, service providers, travel routes and Nebo community information while clearly communicating park guidelines to ensure a smooth and enjoyable stay.

Skills and Experience Required

• Demonstrated experience in managing a motel, hotel, caravan park or similar accommodation property.
• Preference will be given to Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents.
• Strong understanding of accommodation operations including front-office, housekeeping,
grounds care, guest services and property management.
• Ability to balance hands-on operational duties with administrative responsibilities.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, organisational and leadership capabilities.
• Relevant qualification in hospitality, business or accommodation management is desirable.
• High standard of professionalism, customer service focus and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with rural or regional accommodation settings is advantageous.
