Salary : $65,000 - $85,000 a year

Located in the tree-lined hub of Bathurst, NSW, The George Hotel offers a sophisticated and modern pub experience that is rare to the local area. Their architecturally designed, boutique space boasts a light-filled front bar, relaxed pub dining, a cosy lounge and fireplace setting, private function areas, and guest accommodation.

The George Hotel is currently looking for hardworking and dedicated Hotel Duty Managers to join their team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day operations during shifts, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
Supervise and support front office staff, including receptionists, concierge, and night auditors, to maintain high standards of guest service.
Coordinate guest arrivals and departures and manage check-in/check-out procedures.
Monitor the presentation and cleanliness of the front office, lobby, and guest service areas, reporting any maintenance or safety issues.
Managing scheduling, facility, and health and safety regulations compliance.
Ensure accurate handling of guest accounts, payments, and shift-end financial reporting.
Identify and report maintenance requirements/hazards in the workplace.
Handle issues, including late check-ins, emergency evacuations, or security incidents in accordance with hotel protocols.
Assist in training and mentoring hotel staff.

Skills and Experience:

Relevant qualification
At least one year of relevant experience
Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge of OH&S requirements and instruction, and carry out OHS requirements and 'lead by example’.
