Who we are

Fruitico is a dynamic and fast growing business with farms across Australia. We have three table grape farms in Western Australia, located in Hamel, Meelon and Broome. We are looking for horticulture and farm workers to join us for our upcoming pre-harvest and harvest seasons.

About the role

We are seeking self motivated and physically fit candidates to fill a total of 100 casual farm positions we have available from October 2025 for a period of up to 9 months. The roles will be working in our location in Broome.

We require people to prepare vines for harvest, pick table grapes and perform other general farm maintenance (including cleaning). Some responsibilities of include but are not limited to:
• Preparing vines for harvest
• Picking table grapes
• General farm maintenance
• Leaf plucking
• Planting
• Bunch work
• Pruning
• Working in a packing shed

Work commences between 05:30-07:00am with finishing times varying throughout the season depending on operational requirements, with some days work ceasing when the sun goes down. Our farms operate 7 days a week during harvest so you may be required to work throughout the week, including weekends (subject to rest days off). All work is performed outdoors.

Remuneration

Remuneration throughout the period will vary, with some work being performed on an hourly basis and all other work based on a piece rate of pay.

All work performed on a casual hourly basis will be paid at the starting rate of $31.19 per hour (as per the Horticulture Award 2020).

Piece rates vary depending on the work undertaken, with all workers having been advised and agreeing to the rates prior to commencing the task. Any work paid at piece rates receives a minimum pay guarantee – this means that when you work on piece rates you will be paid at least $31.19 multiplied by the number of hours you work on the task.

About you

You must:

• Be ready and available to work throughout the entire period
• Be physically fit and able to pass a pre-employment medical
• Be willing and able to work weekends and overtime as required
• Show initiative and a strong motivation to work
• Be able to follow instructions in relation to job tasks and hygiene
• Be willing to work outdoors
• Have your own transport to get to and from work
• Have your own local accommodation
