Bundy Berries Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Farm Supervisor for its Berry and snack tomato operations in Sharon Queensland.

The Farm Supervisor will provide operational and technical support on site at our farms and answer directly to our on-site manager in relation to all aspects of training, upskilling and supervising our labour force including external contractors’ workers in relation to the preparation, planting, maintaining and picking of our Berry and snack tomatoes over the course of the growing and harvest seasons.

You will need to have working knowledge of quality specifications for our produce and be capable of imparting your knowledge to our workers as well as directing them in their day-to-day activities. You will be overseeing the maintenance of data and time recording systems for our workers undertaking piece work and keep proper records.

You will be expected to co-ordinate various crews over the course of planting to harvest cycle in terms of rosters and performance.

As a full-time onsite Supervisor, your Primary responsibilities will include:
• Help recruit, train and direct our farm labour force over the course of the year.
• Consult with the Farm Manager and Directors responsible for the crops as to tasks to be undertaken.
• Keep proper records of tasks undertaken by our casual workforce and assist them in understanding the requirements when necessary.
• Respond promptly to service issues and user requests, providing effective system and technical solutions
• During harvests provide regular updates as to volumes and quality to our manager and or Directors.

Desired Experience
• At least 5 years on farm experience working with strawberry, raspberry and snack tomato crops.
• At least 3 years’ experience managing crews of planters and pickers.
• Hands-on experience in using data recording systems as applicable to piece workers.
• Proven ability to communicate with a diverse range of workers from varying backgrounds during seasonal peaks.

Important Note Working Conditions
This position requires you to be available when the crops demand and that may require early morning starts during some stages of the season
There will be occasions when you are required to work over weekends depending upon the status of the crops at different stages throughout the year.

Salary
Your remuneration shall be in the range of $76515 per annum plus statutory superannuation.
