First Fleet Recruitment is an Australian owned and operated Recruitment company specialising in the placement of Engineering/Mining and Manufacturing related roles throughout Australia . Our client services the civil construction industry including equipment around the nation.

We are urgently seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to join a busy workshop based in Castlemaine, Victoria.

This role is based in the main workshop but will also cover field work. You will be:

repairing and maintaining large European trucks, light vehicles, and equipment suitable for civil construction.
Schedule and organise parts and execute planned maintenance and cover emergency repairs
Liaise with other team members and clients
Ability to accurately utilise electronic record keeping

To be suitable for this role we require:

Proven experience in repair and maintenance of large trucks - Volvo required
Welding experience , hydraulic repairs and auto electrical systems highly regarded
It is essential that you have extensive experience in working on asphalt plant and equipment
Be available for flexible work hours including weekends and overtime including emergencies
A clean safety record on-site
The ability to work independently and also on your own

Whats on offer?

Base salary $45.00 per hour plus superannuation, allowances, fully maintained service vehicle, mobile phone and ipad
