About the role You will be responsible for developing and implementing sales & distribution strategies across Australia and New Zealand to achieve revenue targets, correct sales mix, growth objectives and profitability. You will build and lead a high-performing sales team, analyse market trends and customer needs to identify new sales opportunities, and collaborate with other business units to align sales strategies with company objectives. You will also establish and maintain relationships with key clients and partners, ensuring the sales team across the Pacific renews existing customers’ contracts on optimal terms and generates new business in line with the Sales forecasts. Key Responsibilities will include: Sales and Strategy Develop short(12month) and midterm (3 year) country sales strategies and annual plans across business development and account management by sales channel to achieve growth, revenue and market share profitability across car and commercial fleet. Analyse market trends, sales performance and customer needs to identify areas of opportunity and drive innovation. Ensure correct mix of sales revenues to achieve company EBITDA Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and product development, to align sales strategies with company objectives and ensure consistency in messaging and positioning. Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts and analyse on performance. Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards in all sales activities. Manage sales budgets and expenses, allocating resources effectively to maximize ROI. Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the company's products and services, as well as its industry and competitors. Develop and maintain regular communication with ABG teams in NZ, Europe and USA relating to sales opportunities, global RFPs and best practise. Sales Sponsor for ESG and EV strategies in the Pacific. People Build and lead a high-performing sales team, providing coaching, mentoring, and support to ensure a growth culture, succession planning and talent acquisition. Develop and monitor skillset matrix for sale steam and identify internal and external training to support finding. Develop and implement strategies to ensure that our values and vision are communicated effectively and understood throughout the sales team. Establish and maintain relationships with key clients and partners, assisting team where needed to negotiate contracts and sign long term commercial deals to generate new business and maintain existing accounts. Develop annual sales targets for each of the sales team given annual sales incentive plan. Foster and establish relationships within the travel industry through active participation in seminars, expos, tradeshows, events, forums, and briefings. Process Key sponsor and owner of sales team automation covering salesforce and SME tool. Sales Sponsor for driving digital transformation to ensure an improved customer experience from booking through to car pickup covering OBT booking tools, OTA, and GDS distribution. To be successful in this role: You will have a proven track record spanning 7+ years in sales leadership across numerous geographic locations and cultures of which at least 4 years should be in a Business development / Account management capacity. You will have experience in both B2B and B2C sales, a proven track record of success and deep understanding of sales techniques, strategies, and sales performance and resource forecasting. You should also be able to manage complex and large customers being the end corporate and Travel agent buying groups and be able to identify travel industry trends, validate and adjust sales strategies to meet market changes. You will need to be competent at presenting and negotiating with senior executives and have a thorough understanding of the Travel industry, distribution & travel technologies obtained through various roles. Experience leading transformation projects driven by technology and process will also be needed. Strong critical and analytical thinking and experience with data analysis and reporting with a high level of commercial acumen to understand financial reports, forecasting, budgets will also be required.
