- At Montu, we’re building one of the most impactful healthcare companies in Australia, transforming access to medical cannabis and setting the standard for excellence in patient care. To achieve this, we need a world-class approach to risk and compliance.
- We’re looking for a Head of Compliance to take ownership of Montu’s compliance strategy and lead a high-performing team to deliver outcomes that underpin our growth. Reporting to the General Manager of Risk & Compliance, this role will play a critical part in strengthening our compliance framework, ensuring Montu continues to meet its legal and regulatory obligations while fostering a culture of accountability and integrity across the business.
- What you’ll be doing
- Lead the strategic direction of Montu’s compliance function, advising the Executive Leadership Team on compliance risks, regulatory developments, and emerging issues.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve compliance frameworks, policies, and training, embedding compliance into Montu’s culture.
- Oversee compliance risk management and monitoring programs, ensuring risks are identified, assessed, and mitigated.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and regulators to maintain transparency and trust.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the compliance team, building capability and driving continuous improvement.
- Qualifications
- What we’re looking for
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in senior compliance roles within large, highly regulated industries.
- Strong background in designing and implementing compliance programs across multiple regulatory domains.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing and coaching high-performing teams.
- Deep understanding of relevant legislation, standards, and regulatory expectations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at executive level.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in law, risk, compliance, or a related discipline.
