The Client

PR Sydney Pty Ltd runs a hair and beauty salon in Richmond, offering a variety of services to meet all hairdressing needs. They are seeking enthusiastic, passionate, and qualified Hairdressers to join their friendly and creative team on a full-time basis. Multiple positions are available.

The Role

This is a full-time role with an annual salary set between $75,000-$80,000 plus superannuation and will be based in their salon in Richmond Branch, NSW.

Responsibilities

Meet with clients to discuss their hairstyle preferences and any changes they want. This may include assessing hair texture, condition, and colour.

Perform haircuts, trims, and styling according to client requests. This includes using scissors, clippers, and razors to achieve desired looks.

Apply hair colour, highlights, or lowlights as requested by clients. This involves mixing and applying dye, as well as ensuring proper timing and processing.

Wash clients’ hair using appropriate products and apply conditioners or treatments to maintain hair health.

Create special hairstyles for events or occasions, such as weddings or formal functions.

Provide a high level of customer service, including advising clients on hair care and maintenance, handling appointments, and managing any client concerns or complaints.

Clean and maintain hairdressing tools and equipment, such as scissors, clippers, and styling tools, to ensure they are in good working condition.

Adhere to hygiene and sanitation standards to ensure a clean and safe environment for clients and staff.

Sell hair care products and recommend products that clients might use at home.

Stay updated with the latest trends, techniques, and products in the hairdressing industry.

Requirements

In order to be shortlisted for this position, the right candidate needs to have:

At least a Certificate III / Certificate IV in Hairdressing or higher qualifications

A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience gained in a commercial salon

A minimum of 1 year experience in cutting both male and female hairstyles

A minimum of 1 year experience in professional hair cutting and extensions

A minimum of 1 year experience in colour theory and hair colouring technique

Be motivated and enjoy working in a team

Demonstrated excellent customer service skills

Display an excellent attention to detail

Be able to handle pressure in a professional manner

Have positive past employment work references

Able to work on weekends
