About the Position:
The Hairdresser role at The Men’s Grooming is essential to delivering exceptional men's grooming experiences in our busy Chatswood location. You will provide expert haircutting, styling, and beard services to male clients, contributing directly to the barbershop's reputation for precision and customer satisfaction while working collaboratively in a supportive team environment focused on quality and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide advice on hair care, beauty products, and suitable hairstyles to clients.
Shampoo hair and condition scalps to prepare for services.
Colour, straighten, and permanently wave hair using chemical solutions as required.
Cut hair using scissors, clippers, and razors to achieve desired styles, including fades and modern men's cuts.
Style hair, including dreadlocks, braids, and adding extensions where applicable.
Shave and trim beards and moustaches with precision.
Clean work areas and sanitise instruments to maintain hygiene standards.
Arrange appointments and handle payments efficiently.
Requirements:
Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply.
Minimum Certificate III in hairdressing, hairstyling, or a related field.
Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a hairdresser.
Strong technical skills in men's haircutting techniques (including fades, scissor cuts, clipper work, and beard grooming).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to consult with clients, understand their needs, and deliver personalised service.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced barbershop environment while maintaining high standards of hygiene and professionalism.
Passion for men's grooming and staying updated with current trends and styles.
