We are hiring multiple Grounds Gardeners to support this contract. About the role You will maintain and enhance outdoor green spaces at Defence bases by sowing, planting, and cultivating a variety of plants, trees, and shrubs. Your key responsibilities will include: Maintaining green spaces and flower beds. Preparing garden beds and raising seedlings. Weeding, trimming and pruning plants. Designing gardens and choosing plants. Managing irrigation systems. Applying pesticides and fertilisers. Sowing and propagating plants, trees, shrubs, flowers and bushes. Mowing lawns and operating gardening equipment. Prioritising tasks and managing seasonal workloads efficiently. Interacting professionally with staff, contractors, and the public. About you Our ideal candidate will have: Knowledge of turf care, irrigation, pruning, and pest control. Confident using ride-on mowers, blowers, trimmers, and other tools. Ability to identify and fix minor structural or landscape issues. Understanding of OH&S practices and safe chemical handling. You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
