Description: I’m producing a deluxe fine-art book — 432 pages, 900+ high-resolution images, large-format (≈250x330mm), museum-quality printing. This is not a generic layout job. I need a designer with proven experience in premium illustrated books — coffee-table, monographs, art/photography catalogues. I will provide a detailed layout in InDesighn for flow and sequencing. You won’t be starting from scratch — your role is to elevate, refine, and execute at a professional standard. Scope: – Build the full interior in Adobe InDesign (working files must be provided) – Handle large image volumes with precision and elegance (scans, retouched material, archival content) – Apply typography, pacing, white space, and rhythm across ~384pp in line with the provided flow – Ensure the design avoids rigid “template” grids — the book must breathe and tell a story visually – File prep for offset printing (knowledge of bleed, CMYK, hi-res standards essential) – Collaborate with me (author/editor) on iterations and refinements What I’m *not* looking for: – Template jockeys – People who only do brochures or ebooks – Nickel-and-dimers chasing cheap rates. This is a premium commission, and I’m paying for premium experience. Requirements: – Portfolio of at least 2–3 published large-scale art/photography/design books (attach links or PDFs) – Deep fluency with InDesign and pre-press for art books – Comfort working with hundreds of images across complex layouts – Strong design eye that balances archival authenticity with modern polish Budget: This is a professional-level project. Rates should reflect experience. I’m open to either a flat fee or milestone structure, but please be realistic about the scale. If your portfolio is mostly low-cost brochure work, this isn’t the gig for you.
