We produce splashbacks and require someone to help us for 2 weeks setting up client print files. This is to provide coverage for our regular designer who is on leave. Our clients choose high definition files from a site such as shutterstock or istockphoto, or supply their own. Because their images are never an exact match for the size of their splashback, we send them back a cropped version which we believes works best. Sometimes we will send them multiple versions depending on how much needs to be cropped. We then set a file up which is to the size of the splashback plus a 2mm bleed on all sides. At times, there may be some editing required which could include tidying up poor quality graphics, removing spots from images or extending the image and making it appear natural. You will also need to check the image for potential issues, such as blurriness, or any issues which will become Some considerations also need to be taken into account, such as the location of key elements of the print file around window cutouts, powerpoints etc. Our workload varies, however we average around 5 a week at the moment. Nothing is guaranteed though. And we need a reasonably fast turnaround on files. Google drive or a shared dropbox is a good way for us to share files.
