Summary
We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Grain, Oilseed, Pulse and Pasture Farm Worker on behalf of our client, Hillcroft Farms Pty Ltd, a well-established mixed farming enterprise located in Lol Gray, Western Australia.
This is a full-time, permanent position suited to candidates with hands-on experience in broadacre cropping, with a focus on supporting the growing and harvesting of grain, oilseed, pulse, and pasture crops.

About the Role
This role is essential to the ongoing success of Hillcroft Farms’ cropping program, which plays a central role in both commercial grain production and internal livestock feed supply. The successful candidate will work alongside a small, skilled team to carry out general on-farm cropping duties and seasonal operations across the year.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
In accordance with ANZSCO 842214 – Grain, Oilseed, Pulse and Pasture Farm Worker, key duties will include:
• Assisting in the sowing, fertilising, spraying, and harvesting of cereal, legume, oilseed, and pasture crops
• Operating farm vehicles and basic machinery (under supervision or with training) such as tractors, spreaders, and harvesters
• Monitoring crop growth and identifying issues such as weed infestation or pest and disease problems
• Assisting with irrigation tasks, checking water supply systems, and ensuring paddocks receive adequate moisture
• Loading and unloading grain, hay, fertiliser, and other materials as required
• Carrying out post-harvest clean-up, including grain storage area maintenance
• Performing general farm work including fencing, shed work, tidying, and manual handling of materials
• Following workplace health and safety protocols and environmental care procedures
• Reporting any machinery faults, safety concerns, or crop anomalies to supervisors promptly

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
To be considered for the role, applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
• Hold an AQF Certificate II or equivalent, with at least 1.5 years (20+ hours/week) of relevant post-qualification experience; OR
• Hold an AQF Certificate III or higher, with at least 1 year (20+ hours/week) of relevant post-qualification experience; OR
• Have at least 1 year of full-time (38+ hours/week) relevant experience assisting in crop farming
Essential Requirements:
• Demonstrated experience assisting in broadacre cropping (e.g. grains, legumes, oilseeds, pasture)
• Basic understanding of farming practices related to sowing, spraying, and harvesting
• Ability to follow instructions and operate safely in a farm environment
• Physically fit, with the ability to work long hours during peak seasons in outdoor rural conditions
• Willingness to work as part of a team and support various farming duties as required
• A current driver’s licence is required; machinery or forklift tickets are desirable
