Senior Global Mobility Lead
The Global Mobility Manager leads our group global mobility function, ensuring that our programs are modern, efficient, employee-centric and cost-efficient —supporting business growth and enabling our international talent strategy.
In this role, the Global Mobility Manager oversees a global team responsible for delivering seamless end-to-end mobility experiences. They partner closely with internal stakeholders and external providers to continuously evolve our policies, processes, and technology solutions.
The role has a dual focus:
- Strategic Business Partnership – Acting as a trusted advisor to leadership and the broader business, the Global Mobility Manager contributes to strategic decision-making related to talent mobility. Their early involvement in business planning—such as expansion into new locations or M&A activities—ensures mobility considerations are built into the foundation of our global growth plans.
- Team Leadership and Development – A key responsibility of this role is to foster a mature, high-performing team of Global Mobility professionals. Beyond ensuring operational excellence, the manager invests in developing team capabilities, encouraging external networking, and raising the team’s visibility both within the organisation and across the global mobility community.
The Global Mobility Manager works closely with cross-functional teams to deliver a comprehensive range of mobility solutions. They play an active role in shaping strategies, policies, and practices, while also identifying and resolving operational challenges to drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities would include:
Leadership and Strategy
- Lead the Global Mobility team in delivering best-in-class services for international assignments, relocations, and cross-border employment.
- Design and implement global mobility strategies aligned with Endava’s business objectives and talent priorities.
- Act as the internal thought leader on global mobility trends, compliance, and best practices, ensuring our policies remain state-of-the-art and scalable.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Consult with senior HR leaders, Talent Acquisition, Finance, Legal, and business stakeholders to support workforce planning and mobility needs.
- Manage relationships with external partners including relocation vendors, immigration lawyers, tax advisors, and other service providers.
- Deliver training and guidance to HR teams and people managers on mobility programs, policies, and compliance topics.
Employee Experience
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees undergoing international transfers, ensuring a positive, high-touch experience from initiation through repatriation or permanent transfer.
- Identify and address potential pain points in the mobility journey, proactively resolving challenges with empathy and professionalism.
Policy and Compliance
- Contribute to/leads the development, governance, and continuous improvement of global mobility policies and frameworks.
- Monitor global tax, immigration, and employment regulations to ensure compliance across all jurisdictions.
- Drive consistency and equity in mobility offerings while allowing for localized flexibility as needed.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee the end-to-end mobility process including assignment planning, cost projections, relocation logistics, and post-move support.
- Evaluate and implement tools or systems to increase efficiency, tracking, and reporting of global moves.
- Use data and metrics to evaluate program effectiveness and support strategic decisions.
Educational Background
- The ideal candidate must be educated to at least University level.
- Professional certification in Global Mobility (e.g., GMS, CRP) or International HR (e.g., SHRM, CIPD) is a plus.
Previous Experience
- Significant experience in relevant HR functions, with at least 8 years spent in Global Mobility and a minimum of 2 years leadership experience.
- Proven experience in developing and optimizing global mobility programs, ensuring compliance with international labor laws and corporate policies.
- Strong leadership experience with a track record of managing and mentoring a global mobility team.
Prior Knowledge and Skills
- Deep understanding of international employment law, immigration regulations, taxation and social security and related fields.
- Deep knowledge of global mobility processes, including international assignments, expatriate management, visa and immigration regulations, tax implications, and relocation support;
- Strong analytical skills to assess tax, social security, and legal risks associated with international assignments.
- Ability to lead process improvements, enhancing the efficiency and employee experience of global mobility programs.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, including HR leadership, business unit heads, finance, and legal teams, ensuring alignment between mobility strategies and organizational objectives.
- Proven experience in building, managing, and mentoring a high-performing global mobility team.
