ERCE Australia Pty Ltd (trading as Sproule ERCE) is an independent energy consulting group with offices in London, Kuala Lumpur, Calgary and Perth. The role:
We are looking for a graduate Geoscientist to join our Geoscience Team at a Perth location on a full time basis. Working in the Geoscience Team you can expect to work on projects from around the world, develop your technical and corporate skills by working in multi-disciplinary teams to provide a variety of services to our clients.
Duties and responsibilities including by not limited to;
Theory:
Understand theory in Geology
Play and prospect elements
Geological data required for quantitative 3D static reservoir models
Volumetric evaluation, including uncertainty and risking
Integrate well, seismic, petrophysical, engineering data into 3D static reservoir models
You will develop and consolidate your knowledge of ERCE’s geoscientific competencies i.e. Quantitative Geophysics, Reservoir Engineering, Economics, Costs & Facilities, Petrophysics etc.
Technical:
Recognise problems and solve them under supervision.
Carry out audits and evaluations of seismic data and 3D static reservoir models.
Integrate well, seismic, petrophysical, engineering data into 3D static reservoir models.
Carry out volumetric evaluations including uncertainty and risking.
Evaluate play and prospect elements of exploration prospects.
Become proficient in a range of software including but not limited to Kingdom, Petrel, Surfer, Xal ball.
Obtain exposure to petrophysical and structural geology workflows.
Obtain basic exposure to a range of competencies including: Quantitative Geophysics, Reservoir Engineering, Economics, Costs & Facilities, Petrophysics etc.
Demonstrate technical skills in Geology and know when to obtain expert help.
Load, manipulate, export data in geological, petrophysical & geophysical applications.
Soft Skills:
Time-write effectively and actively look for work.
Relay information and messages from clients.
Contribute to internal and external client presentations.
Assist in report documentation, providing text, tables images and figures .
Be aware of what services/products we sell and learns how to support basic business processes.
Keep your supervisor informed of any issues which arise, seek mentoring and contribute to a team environment.
Develop communication skills and have awareness about conveying information appropriate for the audience level.
Develops a basic understanding of oil related business ethics and conflicts of interests.

About You:
To be considered for this role, you will need to have the following skills and attributes;
A relevant Bachelor or higher qualification
At least one year of relevant work experience

Salary:
If successful, you will be paid a base salary of $90,000 per annum.
