As a Removalist Driver you will be primarily responsible for the movement of client’s household furniture and personal effects in a safe, efficient and professional manner. Whilst adhering to A2B Removals company policy, procedure and guidelines. Long distance and overnight work will also be available for the right candidate.
Job description,
- The physical collection, loading of household furniture and personal effects and subsequent delivery of same into homes and/or storage.
- Perform basic safety analysis and service requirements on company vehicle on a daily basis.
- Driving removalist truck to client removal sites in a safe and timely manner for loading and returning to base.
- Conduct onsite safety analysis on site including JSA’s and ensure that goods for manual removal are manoeuvred and carried in and out of the truck in a safe manner and in accordance with WHS requirements.
- Removalist duties include the handling of typical objects such as pre-packed cartons of smaller items, household furniture, domestic items such as fridges, dining tables, chairs, television units, lounges, safes, freezers, washing, book cases and similar.
- All client property, including large and bulky items will be manoeuvred through doorways, up/down stairs and within and through confined areas, this could include the movement of pianos and the use of piano trolleys where necessary. Items could be excess of >25kg.
- Heavy lifting, pulling and pushing from floor to overhead height will occur during the course client relocations.
- Loading typically occurs over the course of the whole day.
Please note to be considered for sponsorship you must have at least 1 years relevant experience in the industry. Load/Unload, manual handling, Truck license etc
Job Types: Full-time, Casual
Pay: $75,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
