Sales and Marketing Manager
Full-Time (38 ordinary hours per week)
Salary AUD $110,000 per annum (base salary) + Superannuation
SUMMARY
The Sales and Marketing Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the sales and marketing activities of Adelaide Tyre & Automotive Group Pty Ltd (ATAG). This role oversees the development and implementation of strategies to drive sales growth, build brand awareness, manage key client relationships, and lead the sales team to achieve performance targets while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
DUTIES
• Plan, develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to promote ATAG’s range of tyres, wheels, batteries and automotive services, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and local market conditions.
• Direct and coordinate sales activities, including managing customer enquiries, quotations, and order processing to achieve sales targets and increase revenue.
• Monitor and analyse sales performance, customer trends, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
• Manage key customer accounts and build long-term business relationships with fleet, trade, and retail clients.
• Negotiate pricing, discounts, and promotional deals with suppliers and corporate customers.
• Plan and execute local marketing campaigns (print, digital, and social media) to build brand awareness and attract new customers.
• Coordinate in-store promotions, seasonal sales events, and loyalty programs.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with local businesses and community organisations to drive foot traffic.

• Collaborate with the store manager and service team to ensure seamless customer experiences.
• Prepare regular reports on sales figures, marketing activities, and budget performance for senior management.
• Manage marketing budgets effectively to maximise return on investment.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and ATAG corporate marketing requirements.
• Provide ongoing training and mentoring to the sales team on product knowledge, customer engagement, and upselling techniques.
• Set clear performance goals and conduct regular performance reviews.
• Foster a positive, customer-focused workplace culture.
REQUIRED SKILLS
• Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Business, Marketing, Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar sales and marketing leadership role.
• Strong understanding of the automotive retail industry, including tyre, wheel, battery, and auto service products.
• Up-to-date knowledge of market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitor activities within the automotive sector.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills with the ability to secure and maintain major client accounts.
• Skilled in staff recruitment, training, performance management, and fostering a high performing team culture.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and written communication skills.
• Customer-focused approach with the ability to build long-term relationships and resolve complex issues effectively.
• Familiarity with CRM platforms, digital marketing tools, and campaign analytics.
• Familiarity with workplace health and safety requirements and corporate compliance standards.
• Ability to ensure all marketing and promotional activities adhere to ATAG brand guidelines and company policies.
