Joiner - Full Time
SALARY $80,000 per year plus superannuation

Duties and Responsibilities
• Studying and interpreting architectural drawings, shop drawings and specifications to determine materials, dimensions and installation procedures for commercial joinery and bespoke office fit outs.
• Selecting, ordering and preparing timber, laminates, composite boards and related materials in accordance with project specifications.
• Marking out, measuring and preparing layouts for cabinetry, workstations, storage systems and custom joinery components.
• Cutting, shaping and machining timber and board materials using panel saws, routers, edge banders, CNC machinery and hand tools.
• Cutting and forming wood joints and assembling shaped components to construct cabinets, workstations, partitions and built-in commercial fittings.
• Applying plastic laminates, veneers and composite materials to timber surfaces to achieve required finishes.
• Assembling prepared wood and composite materials to form completed joinery units ready for delivery and installation.
• Installing and fitting commercial joinery, cabinetry and built-in fixtures on-site, ensuring structural alignment, levelling and secure fixing.
• Modifying and adjusting joinery components during installation to ensure precision and compliance with project requirements.
• Repairing or replacing damaged or defective joinery and fittings where required
• Verifying trueness of structures and ensuring finished products meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintaining workshop tools, machinery and equipment in accordance with WHS requirements.

Required Skills
• Certificate III in Joinery (recommended) or at least 12 months of relevant trade experience in commercial joinery
• Ability to measure, mark and prepare layouts with precision
• Sound understanding of workplace health and safety practices in a workshop and installation environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a production and installation team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
