The duties and responsibilities of the Beekeeper will be as follows:

* Harvesting and extracting Honey
* Brood Nest management operations
* Inspecting bee sites for good breeding conditions and honey production
* Effectively identifying and controlling honeybee diseases and the management of disease
* Loading and unloading beehives during migratory time
* Checking and re-queening beehives regularly
* Monitoring and maintaining the health and condition of the bees.
* Be competent in all facets of hive management and hive splitting.
* Building beehives.

You will need the following to be successful for this role:

* 5 years beekeeping work experience or a relevant degree.
* Demonstrated knowledge and skills in good beekeeping practice.
* Excellent time management skills.
* Ability to work away from home for extended periods of time.
* Ability to work within a team or unsupervised.
* MR Truck and or Forklift Licence would be advantageous.

Salary: $70,000 – $85,000 per year
