Sunray Farming Queensland Pty Ltd are currently looking for fruit planter, pickers, and packers for Wesley Vale/Latrobe area.
Work is expected to begin in October 2025 through to May 2026 and is expected to last to 6 months. Full Time contracts offered for 1 to 4 years, travel to our farm in Caboolture, Queensland may be required in the off season.
Complying with the Horticultural Award (MA000028), workers will complete their duties to a standard advised by farm management. Your duties each day may include, but are not limited to:
• Picking berries for quality and adhere to picking standards
• Safely operate and maintain picking equipment
• Packing berries for quality and adhere to packing standards
• Maintain equipment and work area cleanliness
• Ground preparation – planting, spraying, pruning and maintenance
• Report issues promptly to management
Planting, picking, and packing is very physically demanding with lots of bending, kneeling and standing. Work is completed predominantly outdoors, and weather is mainly cool, average maximum summer temperatures range between 17- 23°C with winter temperatures of between 3° and 11°C. At times it will rain, and work will be in muddy and wet conditions. Employees must be physically fit, able to work in a variety of weather conditions and capable of performing repetitive tasks. Employees may be required to carry heavy objects over long distances and uneven terrain or push heavy trolleys and carts.
You will generally be working 5-6 days per week Monday to Sunday, though this may vary from time to time. Your hours will vary as required; you will work between the hours of 6am – 8:30pm.
You will be paid as a pieceworker during harvest periods. This means you are paid for how much work you do rather than how many hours you work. Your pay will be based on the amount that you pick, pack, prune or make.
If you are doing work not covered by your Piecework Record, you will be paid the Award hourly rate under the Award.

• No skills or experience required
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to complete physically demanding work
• Fit and healthy
• Must be available to travel to Queensland
• Ability to travel to different work sites in the Latrobe area and Tasmania
• Must have a right to work in Australia
• Able to work 5-6 days per week Monday to Sunday and between the hours of 6am-8:30pm
