Our Client RN FARMS PTY LTD is seeking a reliable Fruit Grower to work across six blueberry farms located in the Dimbulah and Mutchilba regions of QLD.
The farms located with sizes in acres:
- 66094 Burke Developmental Road (110 acres)
- 128 Veness Road (120 acres)
- 333 Veness Road (100 acres)
- 15 Minisini Road (100 acres)
- 62 Markocic Road (55 acres),
All of the above locations are within 5 minutes of each in Dimbulah town, as well as
104 Catherine Road, Mutchilba (100 acres), approximately 30 minutes away.

The Fruit Grower role requires to manage and support the production of high-quality blueberries across multiple farm sites in the Dimbulah and Mutchilba regions, QLD. The role involves overseeing all aspects of crop production including planting, irrigation, fertilising, pruning, pest and disease management, and harvest planning to ensure optimal yield and fruit quality. The Fruit Grower will monitor crop health, implement best-practice farming techniques, supervise farm workers, and ensure compliance with food safety, biosecurity, and workplace health and safety standards. This position suits someone with strong horticultural knowledge, hands-on farming experience, and the ability to manage day-to-day operations in a fast-paced farming environment.

Responsibility
• Plan, organize, coordinate, and carry out blueberry farming operations to ensure consistent production of top-quality fruit.
Main Duties
• Plan and coordinate the production, harvesting, and marketing of blueberry crops in line with seasonal demand and market requirements.
• Select and plant blueberry seedlings and manage establishment of new plantings and varieties.
• Maintain crop production through cultivation, pruning, de-budding, and ensuring optimal growing conditions including soil health, irrigation, and nutrition.
• Organize and oversee day-to-day blueberry farming operations across multiple farm sites.
• Direct and supervise farming activities such as fertilizing, irrigation scheduling, pest, disease, and weed control.
• Maintain farm infrastructure including buildings, fences, irrigation systems, machinery, and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of farming activities, yields, inputs, and crop performance, while monitoring market trends to plan production and harvest schedules.
• Manage farm business operations including budgeting, cost control and management to ensure sustainable farm performance.
• Select, train, and supervise farm staff and contractors to ensure productivity and quality standards are met.
• Develop and implement climate risk management strategies to minimise impacts of weather variability on blueberry production.
• Manage and enforce work health and safety processes to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Skills/ Qualification:
• AQF Bachelor or Higher
• 1-3 years of experience in related field

Salary:
• $70,000 - $90,000 + Superannuation
