Salary: $87,000 plus 12% superannuation
On behalf of our client, Vivid Route Pty Ltd, we are seeking experienced and reliable Formwork Carpenter to join their growing national operations. Established in 2022, Vivid Route was created to address the increasing demand for innovative prefabricated construction solutions, specialising in prefabricated steel reinforcement cages for both civil and commercial markets.

In addition to prefabrication, Vivid Route also provides expert on-site steel fixing services for large-scale commercial, residential, civil, industrial and infrastructure projects, with operations expanding across multiple states in Australia.
We are currently recruiting for highly motivated and qualified Formwork Carpenter to work across various sites in South Australia, Western Australia, Queensland, Victoria and New South Wales. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled tradesperson who is passionate about working on major projects, able to interpret plans and specifications, and committed to producing high-quality workmanship that meets industry standards.
Minimum Requirements
• AQF Certificate III in a relevant trade (with 2 years on-the-job training) or AQF Certificate IV OR at least 3 years’ relevant experience in lieu of qualifications
• At least one year of full-time experience in formwork carpentry and/or steel fixing
• Construction OHS White Card
• Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel to different sites across states
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality formwork carpentry and steel fixing in compliance with project and safety standards
• Read and interpret drawings, rebar schedules and specifications for reinforcement and formwork layouts
• Cut, shape and join timber, plywood and steel for formwork construction
• Install, pour and strip formwork systems in line with site programs and tolerances
• Operate and maintain carpentry and steel fixing tools/equipment in safe condition
• Prepare sketches and mark-ups for variations; assist with take-offs and ordering materials
• Liaise with site supervisors, engineers and trades to ensure project milestones are met
• Contribute to QA inspections, checklists and pre-pour sign-offs
• Uphold compliance with the NCC, Australian Standards and ISO-aligned safety procedures
Skills & Attributes
• Ability to work from engineering drawings and plans with precision
• Strong practical knowledge of formwork carpentry and steel fixing techniques
• Skilled in the use of hand and power tools, rebar benders/cutters and formwork systems
• Commitment to OH&S principles and safe systems of work
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
• Able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
The ideal candidate will be trade-qualified or highly experienced, hold a White Card, and have proven industry experience in civil or commercial construction environments. You must be flexible to work on different project sites across multiple states, operate effectively under timelines, and demonstrate professionalism in liaising with clients and other trades.
